Life after birth trauma.

Support for moving forward.

A traumatic birth can affect your life in all sorts of ways. It can affect how you cope with day-to-day life, your bond with baby, and your confidence and self-esteem.

Perhaps you’re ready to move on from your birth experience, or maybe you’re pregnant and preparing for your healing birth. We’re here to support you through your birth or postnatal trauma resolution.

Taking it at your pace.

You will have the opportunity to talk through and emotionally release your experience. A reflective birth debrief can be incredibly helpful to understand your birth and emotionally release in a safe, supportive space. This is a different to a hospital debrief, and many parents have found it helpful particularly when ready to plan a next pregnancy or birth. An additional method I offer is 3 Step Rewind. This is an effective process to help you move forward from a traumatic birth or postnatal experience. It is not a therapy, but a process where you are guided through self-healing. It will not remove the memory, but it can really change how you feel about that memory. I’ve seen huge changes in clients we’ve supported through this process.

How it works…

A reflective birth debrief is usually done over one session of around two hours, potentially with follow up emails/phonecalls depending on the topics that come up. If you also opt for the Rewind process we do this in a separate session of around 1 hour, and again we can follow up over email or phone afterwards. This trauma support is always one on one. It works well over Zoom, or if you live near Leeds or Huddersfield, you can opt for a home visit.

A reflective debrief is £100. A debrief plus the Rewind is £150.

“I recently took part in the three step rewind programme due to a traumatic birth and I can't recommend it enough.”

“I've been putting off getting help for five years but as soon as I first spoke with Rebecca I knew she was the woman to support me.

Her kindness and acceptance have changed my life forever for the better.

The process is gentle and has made a huge difference to the way I think about my first birth experience.”
